Unit Presentations Day 1

We listened to eight wonderful presentations today. Here are a few new facts we learned: February is one of the best months for viewing planets in the night sky, a group called IAU decided Pluto would no longer be considered a plant after a 2006 vote, the four main stars in the Crux constellation are Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta, Saturn is 888 million miles from the sun, space suits continue to evolve to “suit” the needs of astronauts and Jupiter is a gas planet.
