IB Inquirers Solve Moon Mystery

We read a wonderful book today that explained the significance of the lunar cycle during the month of Ramadan. As we progressed through the book, we realized the phases illustrated in the book were mirror images of the moon phase chart we had completed the day before. Wondering if perhaps the book was incorrect or our chart was backward, we began to INQUIRE! As we thought and asked one another, it occurred to us that perhaps the hemisphere had something to do with the difference–different seasons, maybe the moon looks different too? Sure, enough, after a quick Google search we found a site that explained that the two hemispheres see different versions of the crescent and gibbous moons, mystery solved!
